Let Me Learn has Highly Qualified teachers, certified in the LML Process® who will work with learners in grades 3 through 8. Our tutors will help you understand how you take in the world around you, make sense of it, and develop means of how to apply this self-understanding to the content. The one-on-one live tutoring can be done in your own home. LML will provide you will the right materials to help you or your child be more successful not only with the content, but in all venues of learning.

The Program

• The program consists of approximately twelve 90-minute online sessions which engage the learner in reading, writing, and interacting with the tutor using power point, videos, and real time composing and editing of the student’s work.
• Class notes are emailed to the student’s home upon completion of each session.
• While LML has access to reading and writing curriculums, we prefer to match each tutorial session to the student’s specific school assignments.

Initial Five Sessions:

• Session one: The tutor administers a learning inventory online and discuss how the student’s Learning Processes work (Parents are encouraged to participate in this session).
• Session two: The tutor helps the students build a personal learning profile. (We like to make the profile available to not only the student, but to parents and designated school personnel.)
• Session three: The tutor teaches the student how to understand a teacher’s expectations and directions and how the student can learn to match his/her learning processes to meet the teacher’s expectations. (We call this decoding the task.)
• Session four: The tutor helps the learner develop one reading or writing strategy specific to how the student learns and crafted to meet the teacher’s expectation for the assignment. (The development of personalized strategies continues with each of tutoring sessions from this point forward.)
• Session five: The tutor helps the student continue to develop self-regulation by revisiting strategies, revising and developing new strategies, and developing a plan of action for continued growth and independence at home and in school.

Seven Follow-up Sessions:

• Sessions six through twelve: The tutor provides guidance and practice in decoding assignments, developing strategies, and preparing for both teacher-made and standardized tests.

Online Experience:

• Headset and Software provided as a part of the tutoring fee
• A personal, subject-matter certified tutor 1-to-1; 2-to-1; or 3-to-1 depending upon the student’s age and whether the student would benefit from interacting with up to two other students of the same age.
• No high-speed connection needed

Session Rate: $45/hour
