Start Making a Difference! Here’s How to Begin the Process
Faced with a growing number of referrals to pupil assistance committees and demands by state departments of education for increased student performance, schools leaders find themselves struggling to create a successful learning environment in which both teachers and students thrive. Focusing on the central issue of all schooling – how we learn- and converting that knowledge into a professional environment which results in “responsible teaching and responsible learning,” attendees will leave knowing how to accomplish the following within their own districts:
- increase students’ sense-of-self as learners
- increase the teachers’ understanding of the effects of their teaching upon students
- increase the rate of effectiveness of Pupil Assistance Committees
- decrease the number of referrals to Child Study Teams
