NJ State Renews Compass Academy’s Charter

Feb 20, 2022

The Board of Trustees of Compass Academy Charter School, a Let Me Learn lab school, is proud to announce that the New Jersey State Department of Education has again renewed the innovative charter school for an additional five years. The renewal follows a comprehensive evaluation of Compass Academy’s academic performance, fiscal viability, and operational stability. As Suzanne Allen-Youngblood, BOT President explains, “Compass Academy Charter School (CACS) opened in 2013 for the express purpose of providing the families, educators, community organizations, and employers of Cumberland and Salem Counties with a school of excellence dedicated to developing individuals who know how to learn and how to use their learning skills to develop a stronger sense of self, a greater degree of academic achievement, and an enhanced respect for and appreciation of others within their home, their classroom, and their greater community.”
